Bundle it with something else good. Go spend a day at the car show,
plus another day or two doing something else (preferably that she's
into!). If she gets you coming along to do something she likes to do,
plus a few nights away in a vaguely decent hotel, eating out etc., that
should more than make up for driving so far and coming along to the car
show. OK, it adds to the cost somewhat, but it should be worth it!
I like the description of "only" an 11 hour drive. That's pretty much
from Aberdeen in the far North-East of Scotland (where I live) to London
- opposite ends of the country! Not a distace I'd use the word "only"
with, even if trying to convince my wife to come with me to a car show!
