Slave cylinder rebuilds are a bit of waste of time given their cheapness and
availability, the only thing in their favour is avoiding the fight with the
retaining clip. An M/C rebuild is worth it if the can is sound, but the
clutch and brake master I have had to replace have been because of corroded
cans. If all the fluid leaked out because of the *original* leak, and then
stood, the bores could well be corroded.
