Dave,
I have not used the kit, but have replaced OEM sunvisors a couple of
times because of rattling loose rivets. They are fastened with rivets.
You may want to take measurements off another car. The visor projects
enough so that the clamp will clear when clamp is in clamped position.
You swing the visor down to clamp and un-clamp. Be _very_ careful when
drilling, as drill striking the glass could start a crack. When
replacing rivets, I recall that I had to poke around at several stores
before I found a "pop" rivet that would pull up snug, and recall that the
cheap pop rivet tool would not pull them in snug w/o my using several
washers as temporary spacers on the rivet's shaft. It worked out fine,
just took several efforts to do it first time.
The nice clean oil will keep your concrete floor from rusting. All is
not lost.
