Check out www.miata.net It is by far the largest Miata community out there.
Yes, there are lots of bolt-on kids, but there's a lot of nuggets of info to
be found, too. They're review section is great.
Further off topic:
My 15 year old daughter bought a 13 year old Miata for her first car with
baby-sitting money. She's now 17 and pretty handy with it. I hand her tools
and twist on the stuck fasteners, but she's changed her own wheels, oil, air
filter, added a lower mesh grille, added hood struts, helped significantly
with the CD player installation, and replaced the speakers herself. She can
also come close to whipping my butt in autocross in my WRX! :(
