You bypass the ballast resistor. Pull the white/blue from the
resistor and put it on the coil. Then you won't use the white
wire.
However, in the loom there is another ballast wire, you need
to remove/replace it as well.
I'm sure Paul Hunt's site has a good description. Or Skye's.
