The B died twice today in 8 miles and ran fine in between. I didn't get a
chance to see if the tach quit or the ignition light came on as it died. It
happened about a month ago several times also, but has ran fine since.
Several listers suggested it might be the coil or condenser. I'll replace
both; the coil is probably original. Since the car (79B) has been desmogged
and converted to HIF's and a points dizzy (both off a 74 1/2 B), which
condenser and coil should I order? I still have the ballast resistor wired
in.
Is there any need for a performance coil on a street car?
