When I put the new carpet in my 74 B I had an idea that worked for me. I
made studs by cutting the heads off of bolts and then cut screwdriver slots
in the ends. Put the "studs" in the floor, set the packing strips and
washers in place and set the seat down over the studs. Take out the studs
and put the bolts back in. Makes a pretty easy job of it.
