It has always struck me that *every* left-hand drive car in Clausager always
has the wipers parked on the right, same as right-hand drive cars. The
Parts Catalogue does show different motors for LHD and RHD, and different
arms. Whilst the earliest cars may well have had 'straight' arms so that
when parked either side they we always angled up across the glass instead of
lying parallel to the rubber when parked, later cars had angled arms which
lie parallel one side. If your new arms lie parallel to the rubber when on
the left then all you should have to do is move the parking cam round as
previously described. But if they are parallel when parked on the right,
and you want them parallel on the left when parked, you will have to alter
the angle of the arms as well. Whilst I have done this carefully in a vice
to alter the angle but leave it on the same side, I haven't changed the side
of the angle, the metal may not 'go' that far, fracturing instead. Also the
position of the GT spindles relative to the edge of the screen changed at
some point, to give a wider sweep, which necessitated different length arms
and blades.
