If the inlet had very little movement then quite possibly, but the real test
is to adjust them to the correct figure and test the compression again.
Tests like that should only ever be done when adjustable things are adjusted
correctly, to eliminate them as a possible cause, and leave any underlying
mechanical problems to be revealed.
