I'm a little confused, you say the spin-on adapter recommends the 2825
and that the 2850 is too long.... is this a typo or did you use the
wrong filter? If the 2850 doesn't fit, try the 2825. Not to be
demeaning, but it sounds fairly obvious.

I bought an spin on oil filter adapter for my MGB and It recommends the
Fram 2825 filter. After mounting the unit (I have the oil cooler) I
discovered the 2850 is too long. I'm a little amazed at all the
different filters out there. They really don't appear to be any
different but any suggestions on which one I should use?
