Air Cleaners

I just removed the air filter covers from my '67 B, stripped them to
repaint, and discovered that one is galvanized and one is not. One has
obviously been replaced from new but that got me wondering, does anybody
know when MG started supplying the air filter covers in painted *galv* steel
rather than just painted steel? Not like it really makes a difference but
it'd be a nice little historical tidbit to have in the record.
