Consider this: Why do math textbooks contain chapters on fractions? If the US was on the metric system, are fractions as necessary? Do (did) you enjoy helping your child(ren) work on math that contained fractions? And the question about converting some Russian data to English data: What I recall was NASA or someone like that was given data in metric, and thought it was in English sizes, or vice versa. Anyway what ever, the confusion caused some sort of catastrophic failure. Blake |
