Is the leak coming from where the brake line screws into the adapter fitting or where the adapter fitting screws into the MC body? It could be that all you need do is make sure both are tight. No need to pull the MC in order to examine the threads. Pulling the brake MC is too much of a PITA to be done unless absolutely necessary. Teflon tape applied to the threads of a fitting is not a bandaid. It's a common and effective method for sealing threads. Whatever works, eh? CR |
