Dear List, Has anyone out there ever repaired a hole in an oil pan (cast iron)? I have a 2" diameter hole from a con-rod cap piece. Wondering if the pan can be repaired or if I'm looking at a $500 part here. I was thinking of machining the cracked section out and then installing either a bolt on plate or welded piece over the hole. Anyone have any experience here? Thanks for the feeback.
