Boy, I would hate to see anything like this done to an early pull-handle
car. I think there is cutting needed to do engine swaps on the early cars,
which means that any change like this is essentially irreversible. I would
strongly encourage this gentleman to find a later rubber-bumpered car to
perform this surgery.....
Re: the tranny swap for you - assuming he has the original engine and
trans, the trans would be a 3-synchro which would not fit your 4-synchro
car with modifications.
You'd be better off giving it to me for my '65 B project car.
