There is a very clear line drawing of a later configuration of a Sulzer engine at http://www.amc.edu.au/mte/dme/research/engines/sulzer_rtflex_60c.jpg It has electronically controlled hydraulically operated exhaust valves (no camshaft) and electronically controlled fuel injection. Valve opening and injection are able to be varied to suit load, speed and fuel quality.
