Had a half-sunk (if it floats much lower than it should it will still cause
overflows even though it isn't fully sunk) plastic float but even heating it
didn't force anything out, fuel or air. So I put a pin-hole in it to drain
out the fuel then sealed up the hole, but the fuel dissolved the adhesive
and it sunk again. May get better results with solderable float. If doing
the air-bubble test you will have to keep turning the float over because if
the hole is below the level of the internal fuel you won't get any bubbles.
