List, I recently purchased a 57 MGA Coupe and need some help in identifying the engine. The engine number is 15F-N-H 8988. From what I have been able to research the id number is not for an MG. The block does have the 1500 embossed on it and from all outside appearance it looks like the stock 1500. This is more out of curiosity to determine it's origin. Of course someone could have had the plate restamped.
