I'm a bit confused by this message, since it sort of sounds to me like
you are dealing with a carb with an external float bowl with the top
affixed using the sealing ring, whereas HIF carbs have an Internal
Float chamber in the bottom of the carb body (that's what HIF stands for).
Perhaps I have misunderstood, not hard to do at my age. ;)
