Hans,

I don't know if group 26 is an international battery size maybe someone else
knows. I do know that new modern batteries have move cranking amps than the
old Lucas 6 volt batteries. Mine starts my car easily in the winter but I
doubt that winters in Oregon are as severe as in the Netherlands.

Thanks Dave,

If I remeber it well, it's Group 26.
I discussed this issue with the guy at the MG parts shop nearby last
saturday. (Is familiar with B's for 30+ years and has been a respected MGCC
advisor until he retired. a few years ago.
He wonders, if such a battery will have enough power to start the engine in
wintertime when the engine has not been running for many weeks.
It is my intention anyway to have a continuous (lo-amps) charger connected
when the GT is in the garage, but I might like to have a holiday trip next
year using the GT, so the battery must be in good condition!

Is Group 26 an international battery standard?
If you don't know, please copy the list on your reply.
Some listers might know the answer.

Cheers,

Hans
