Very true. I was very disappointed with the stainless system I fitted to my
roadster some 12 years ago. Recently I had to replace the system on my
Celica and asked the fitter if they did stainless systems for that. He said
they didn't but he didn't like them anyway as they sounded 'farty', and that
is exactly what the roadster does sound like, although the V8 sounds OK. I
say does, but in the last couple of years the roadster has begun to sound
much better, presumably as the baffles in the middle box break up after many
years of grounding.
