Engine Serial Number

I have a BMC engine in my '57 MGA.  Its not an MGA engine, although I have
found a replacement.

I'd like to put this engine into the right hands of someone looking to
restore back to original, but not sure which
BMC vehicle this goes into.

1500 cc engine......no tach drive   serial ##  15 ANH 164289

Any help on identifying the vehicle model or links to a web source that I
can do some research will be appreciated.
