Today was the first weekend that really felt like summer here in the
Pacific Northwest. I'm not Barney, so my odometer only gained another
800 miles :)
High of around 92 in Ellensburg, 75 here in Pullman, and western
Washington reached insanely high (for western Washington) temperatures
as well.
I also saw my first MG on the road today (beyond my own). If you were
driving the deep red (IIRC, the sun was gleaming nicely) CBB north on
WA-525 on Whidbey Island, that was me waving from the red RBB. Oh, and
the roads were lovely.
Even better, despite the temperatures, it appears my overheating
problems that have plagued the car for the past 3 years have finally
gone away. Not sure if it was the head work over the winter, the
switch back to a mechanical fan, the coolant flush, or voodoo magic,
but I don't really care. I only need to re-acclimate so *I* don't
overheat.
Sadly, I only saw two MG's on the road the entire time, both on the
island. The second car was a vintage racer going home on a trailer, so
I don't know if it "counts"!
