All MGBs with 6v coils and ballast resistances had the resistance as a
length of resistance wire contained within the loom. US models with the
45DE4 distributor (attached) amplifier) also had a separate resistor for the
distributor electronics, but the 45DM4 (remote amplifier) did not. Of
course, the external resistor could be an after-market coil ballast.
