Hi Ian, thanks for the good words. The vacuum
port is on the outbound side of the distributor.
The vacuum pulls the diaphram away from the
distributor body. That will cause the contacts
plate to rotate anti-clockwise under high vacuum
causing an advance in the timing. Thanks!
