Now way off topic, most DVDs can be made to remove the region encoding...
goto google and find "dvd hack" what you will come up with is a list of
sites that provide you with information on how to program your DVD to play
PAL and  NTSC sometimes you will get lucky and be able to disable
Macrovision. (for backups of course) . What usually happens is you download
a file, burn it to CD ROM, and insert it into your DVD Player the rest is
magic.
