I didn't have to set anything when I installed the Pertronix in the MGA.
Just bolt it in, and it worked! It is a little tall, and I filed a bit from
the bottom of the rotor. Prior to that, it wasn't engaging the notch in the
rotor far enough.
Also, be sure to watch for wear on the wiring. I had mine too snug, and when
the advance advanced, it pulled the wiring against the rotating lug, causing
wear, and eventual grounding. Some shrink wrap took care of that, but I see
that it is wearing again. So, keep an eye on it. Oh, I also wrpapped some
electrical tape where the wire bundle passes through the grommet. This keeps
the wire in place better inside the dizzy.
