Just bought a tube diff to replace the one on my 67 'B that the PO ran for
some time with no lube at all. Toasted the ring/pinion. The new diff is OK
except that a PO cut off the thread and post for the rebound strap. Anyone
see a problem with cutting the two whole post/thread units from the old diff
and welding them onto the replacement? Seems straight forward to me but I
don't weld and will have to take this to a welder. Anything I should look
out for?
