Rick:

The question regarded early Chassis Number plates, not engine number plates.
You and Ed are quite correct that Engine Number Plates are attached by "drive
rivets".

The question seems to have been answered that the early Chassis plates were
screwed to the front right fender area. I'm remembering cross type heads.

Kelvin.

Kelvin, etal:

Ed says:

"<<Both of my 65s had screws. >>

NEVER, NEVER EVER seen them, Kelvin!!!

Known as "drive rivets".

Threaded with DOME (no slots nor "phillips") head.

Didn't we just have the "conversation"?? NOT in "b" cat but are in "a"???

Ed"

Since I live next door and have SEEN what Ed is "talking" about, I beleive
HIM and no other posters on this subject. He took one out of a B motor he
has as a spare to show me :) !!!

If anyone one wants to see a pic, lemme know and I'll put up on his site.

Regards.........

Rick
