You seem to have at least two problems, the engine not running is (almost
certainly) nothing to do with the parking lights not working.

If the ignition warning light comes on with the ignition (and I'm assuming
you have if you can hear the fuel pump clicking and see the brake lights)
check for 12v on the coil +ve (white), this comes direct from the ignition
switch multi-plug so unless a wire has broken, possibly by the fusebox, you
should have voltage at the coil. Now remove the distributor cap, turn the
ignition on, and connect the voltmeter to the coil -ve (white/blacks). Turn
the engine by hand (put it in 4th and turn a road wheel to bump the engine
round) whilst watching the points and the voltmeter. When the points are
open you should see 12v on the meter, when they are closed you should see
0v. If you see no voltage registered either the coil is open circuit or
something is shorting the points out, remove the white/blacks (and any other
wires) from the coil -ve. If you see 12v on the coil -ve now it is the
white/blacks grounded (one of these goes to the tach), if not it is the
coil. If you see 12v all the time the connection through the white/black
and the points to ground is open circuit.

The parking lights including side-markers are fed from the top two fuses in
the fusebox, one fuse per side. This is fed from a red/green from the main
lighting switch, which also feeds the instrument lighting via the rheostat.
If the instrument lights are still working then the red/green has probably
fallen off the fusebox, if still attached check for 12v on both sides of
both fuses, and the spades on the fusebox, with the parking lights on, for
bad connections or loose fuses. If the instrument lights have failed as
well then check the red/green at the main lighting switch and its plug and
socket.

Glowing but not flashing turn signals could simply be not enough voltage to
run them without the engine running, get the engine and parking lights
working first then we can look at the turn signals.
