If the relief valve is stuck open, the oil pressure will suffer greatly.
I have had the plungers stick many times; this is a case for roadside
repair, since running the engine like this is not wise. Since I changed
all my LBC's to the ball instead of the plunger, this hasn't happened.
It's more of a problem with Mini's than with MG's, since the Mini
transmission is in the sump and creates swarf.
