First the rant, then the question :^)

I discovered that my clutch slave cyl. had apparently gotten bonked by
something, and it cracked off part of the main body where the little end
rubber boot/cover goes. It had some leakage, but not so much that it
wouldn't work at all. I topped off the fluid and decided to bleed it,
and that's when I discovered that the bleed valve is located in a spot
designed for small children and rubber chickens.

So I need to replace the slave cyl. When I do that, would it be
reasonable for me to permanently attach a piece of hose to the bleed
valve, and just wire it up out of the way in the car? Then when I
wanted to actually do it at some future date, it would already be in place.
