Nope. Not unless you change the engine rear plate and the flywheel... and
the tranny. The starter is specific to the transmission (3-synchro or
4-synchro), not to the engine (3-main vs. 5-main).
BTW, that d#*@ starter was one of my main reasons for converting to a
4-synchro OD transmission.
