I was at the auction, and no an MGB would not have gone for $60,000.  If you
checked the results you would have seen a 1955 MG TRF 1500 go for about
$15,000, a nice TR6 go for about $7000, a very nice MGA go for about
$18,000.
 
So you see our British cars are not quite getting top dollar, compared to
American muscle cars or hot rods, not to mention exotic and rare sports
marques.
