That you could remove the core easily is an encouraging thing, against
the possibility that I might have to remove a core again someday. But
the core removal project from my '72 GT was a struggle from beginning to
end. Although less messy than replacing the transmission rubber mounts,
for sheer frustration the heater was worse. Yes, the hoses held it in,
but there was something else binding it as well. Who knows--maybe a
bodged installation years ago, or one by a DPO before my time?
