Also Moss offers separate parts when you have the tools and ability to
replace these.
I do not have all the proper tools, so a repair was my best option.
The Moss price does not look bad to me - my price was a bit higher, but I
had my original unit back with only those components replaced, which were
(almost) faulty or worn out - a good job they did I think was not replacing
the rotor brushes, but also the rings, where the brushes are making contact
to....
My alternator also was tested under load into a special test machine before
returning it to me.
With exchange units one never knows what happened with it in the past.
