Yup, it works. It's what my dad typically slathers on gaskets. I keep
some on hand, but don't particularly like to use it in most cases, as
it's a mess to use, and a bitch to remove.
These days I prefer to use thin smear of Hylomar, or for more serious
needs, some Yamabond (which I think is the same as the Permatex Ultra
Grey).
