Subject: Begging for MGA gearbox photos
Finally getting to the long promised tech page to show the variations in
the 5 different gearboxes used in the MGA, as well as 3 different
propshafts and 2 different engine rear plates. Would anyone have the
following pictures:
MGA 1600 gearbox (prefer right side)
High starter position, flanged output shaft.
MGA 1600-MK-II gearbox (prefer right side)
More external ribbing, thicker bolt flange on bellhousing.
MGA 1600 type propshaft
Flanged both ends, sliding spline coupling aft of the front u-joint,
similar to the MGB propshaft. I could also use the length dimension,
center to center of u-joint pivot points when fully compressed to shortest
length.
