Thanks to all who responded so far. Here's what I have done so far. 1. took a new( I know) plug and swapped out each of them in turn. No change. (But that still doesn't rule out plug wires even though they are new). 2. Noticed tach drops a tiny bit for each misfire episode but doesn't drop precipitously (just normally to my way of thinking). 3. That leaves the points and condenser, electrics and then carbs. Keep going or something else more obvious now? Dave |
