Long cheater bar should do it. Definitely break this loose before pulling
the engine -- you need the weight of the car and the tranny in gear, or
you'll just turn the crank over.

Transmission front seal comes to mind, and yeah, it will have to come out.
Might be easier to clean up the engine front area while it's out of the car,
anyway, or at least you can look at it that way <g>.
