Ron Hopkinson Shocks

Has anybody tried the Hopkinson shock absorbers kit?
My lever arm shock will need replacing during the winter and
I am looking into this kit. I have tried the kludge Spax kit which
I did not like but Ron's kit looks a much better design.

Anybody have experience ? Pros/cons?
