The MGC isn't the only example of poor choices in suspension, made by BLMC.
Look at an original TR-4A through TR-6 some time - the soft rear spring rates
chosen to coddle delicate passengers means that the when you boot the
accelerator in any major way, the cars squat like a female dog having a whizz.
Most
embarrassing, and easily fixable with a stronger spring.
