All this may be true, but these aren't always purely
rational decisions, are they? I mean, on a purely
rational level, a Miata is probably a better call. Or
an Accord Coupe.
I want an MGC because they are obscure and I'm an
absolute sucker for lusty straight sixes. I don't
have the money for an Aston DB5 (or even a DBS), so I
have to look at things a little more down to earth.
The C is just a cool car in my mind, period. For me,
it's sort of a grand touring car in the classic sense,
and I probably won't be absolutely TEARING up back
roads in it as much as I will be using it for fast and
comfortable motoring over longer distances. A little
understeer might not be such a bad thing for that kind
of use.
Besides, handling can always be tweaked, and I'll
always have the MGB...
