A friend of mine who used to have a repair shop had these comments:
As a licensed professional.........I wouldn't put one in if you paid me. Did
that....once...and ate the job. It was the very first one I ever installed and
it went to skreaching within 5 minutes. No grease??? Looked good to me. Just
didn't work. I replaced quite a few rollers with the old graphite, and that's
the ONLY one I would ever put in a Brit car. The same thing with points and
cond, Bosch makes very good products, but I wouldn't put them in an MG. They
don't last, period.
Sounds like the letter is from someone who works for Moss. Parts are funny
things, some people don't kike GMB water pumps, but that's the brand in my
diesel and it has a lifetime warranty! I'll bet Moss wouldn't give lifetime on
anything they sell! They would be out of business in a year at best.
