Real world - a friend sold carbon faced bearings for 30 years and never had a
come-back. He sold a few roller bearings and had a very high rate of
come-backs.
Short answer - why bother? The carbon faced bearings have no disadvantages as
long as you aren't a mook that uses the left pedal for a foot-rest.
