I am in the process of rebuilding the brakes on my 56 MGA. The master
cylinder is fine on the brake side but pitted on the clutch side. I am going to
try
to hone it a little before I think about getting it sleeved.
My question is about the casting numbers on the m/cyl. I have 2 other ones
with the same casting numbers but the bores are quite a bit smaller. The number
on the m/cyls are all 38183c. Why the different bore sizes? What do the
smaller m/cyls fit?
