As a point of clarification - the subject line indicates that the original
messages were likely through the MG-MGB discussion group on Yahoo. This
list would not have had the problem as the listserver would have stripped
the virus or any other attachment before forwarding the message on to everyone.
The fix too is also easy - use antivirus software. As far as Linux goes,
you get what you pay for. I have to provide support for Red Hat Linux in my
job, and I curse it almost every time our cheaper customers call in. Its a
good thing my employer stopped selling Linux systems and went back to
supported Unix systems for our customers' servers.
