Car names WAS: Animals

What I can't figure out is how they came up with some of the
other car names, and why?

I saw an Axiom roll by the other day.  Why name a car for a
postulate?

Better yet, the Marano (sp).  I think it's a Nissan.  It
won't sell well by that name in the Spanish-speaking
cimmunity.  Who wants to drive a pig?  (The spelling's
different, but the pronunciation is unavoidable.)
