I met Scotty via this list (even though we only lived about three miles
away from each other - he was the only other South Aussie - and Aussie -
on the list). From that list-meeting he nominated me to join the MG Car
Club of South Australia and, literally, my life has never been the same
since (who would have thought I would have become such a revhead).
I always feel I missed something not moving in the same Club circles as
Scotty (he was too nice a person to be one of the "competition" people).
What lovely Scots gentleman with a lovely wife - these are the types of
people who contribute so much to Club life and who make it easy for
newcomers to fit in and feel welcome - others are not so welcoming and
this can be daunting for the new member.
This is the second good person in my life to be taken by this bloody
nasty disease in the past twelve months and I find my denial helps not a jot.
I have heard that it is top-down driving weather all year 'round where
you are Scotty - no need to hold back that lead wellie now.
Safety fast, mate!
