Engine Colors

I just took delivery of a dealer brochure printed 12/65.  The engine in
the picture is painted black.  I thought they were the maroon color
until 1970 or so.  It was interesting that it listed as options, a
longer steering column and a fire extinguisher.

Also, the decals on the air cleaners are green rather than the blue now
available.  I remember my 69 GT had green ones too.
